Memorial/Honor Christmas Tree to Celebrate Loved Ones

The Pioneer Historical Society is sponsoring a Memorial/Honor Christmas Tree for the purpose of memorializing loved ones who have gone before us and to honor those still with us. The tree will be located on the landing within in the lobby of the Telfair Center for the Arts. The Telfair Center for the Arts is located at 119 College Street in McRae Helena, Georgia. The building will be open to the public for the viewing of the tree during the Christmas Night Out event on December 3, 2015

Each ornament will contain one name and the year date. These ornaments may be purchased for $5.00 each and individuals may purchase as many ornaments as desired. They can be purchased by calling or emailing Ann Murphy at 868-2105 (frankandkaren33@yahoo.com) or by calling or emailing Robert Herndon at 868-2520 (rherndon2002@yahoo.com). Ornaments may also be purchased by completing the form printed in The Telfair Enterprise and mailed to the address shown on the form. Orders will be taken from this date until November 25, 2015. After that date, the Pioneer Historical Society may not accept further orders. After Christmas, individuals purchasing ornaments may obtain them from the Telfair Center for the Arts at a time to be determined.

Proceeds will go to the Pioneer Historical Society and the Telfair Center for the Arts to further the mission of the society of preserving the history of Telfair County, generating interest in the arts among its citizens and helping defer the expenses of upkeep of the Telfair Center for the Arts and providing good wholesome entertainment for the citizens of the county. Everyone is encouraged to attend this festive occasion and to sponsor one or more Christmas Tree Ornaments.
