Congratulations to Amber Gallaway-2026 Telfair County Administrative Professional of the Year!

 At the Administrative Professional Luncheon held on April 22, 2026,  Paula Anderson-President of the Telfair County Chamber of Commerce, presented Amber Gallaway a plaque for the Telfair County Administrative Professional of the Year.

Amber Gallaway is the office manager for the Telfair County Farm Bureau.  She is often behind the scenes and frequently overlooked but she is absolutely essential.  Her impact on the Telfair County Farm Bureau, the agricultural industry and the community as a whole is truly extraordinary.

 While Ms. Gallaway’s position does not always receive public recognition, the success of the organization depends on her dedication and attention to detail.  She ensures the office runs smoothly and efficiently every day, and she consistently goes far beyond her job description.  When staffing shortages arise,  Amber steps in without hesitation to keep operations running seamlessly.  Her work may not always be visible, but is crucial, and the office simply could not function without her. Amber has served in this role for several years, during which time she has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication, reliability and a deep commitment to both the Farm Bureau and Telfair County community.

 One of Amber’s greatest strengths is her commitment to connecting agriculture to our community. She understands that agriculture is the foundation of Telfair County, and she works tirelessly to make sure that connection is recognized, appreciated, and passed on to future generations. Through her efforts, agriculture becomes more than an industry-it becomes a shared community value.

 Amber organizes and hosts numerous community outreach events designed to educate and engage the public, particularly our youth, about the importance of agriculture.  She plays a leading role in coordination Farm Days at our local Head Start program, Telfair County Pre-K and Telfair County Elementary School.  Amber personally handles every aspect of these events-contacting schools, scheduling dates, coordinating vendors, organizing activities and ensuring students have hands-on, meaningful experiences.  These events help bridge the gap between agriculture and the community and foster a greater understanding of where our food and fiber come from.

 In addition to her outreach efforts, Amber manages the Telfair County Farm Bureau’s budget and records with exceptional accuracy and integrity.  She maintains memberships, keeps detailed records, and ensures the organization remains organized and compliant.  She also plans and coordinates Farm Bureau board meetings and events, handles all office correspondence, oversees building upkeep and manages office repairs-responsibilities that are often taken for granted but are essential to daily operations.

What makes Amber even more deserving of this recognition is her ability to balance these responsibilities while also being a devoted wife and mother of two precious little boys. Despite the demands of an often-overlooked role, she approaches her work with professionalism, humility and an unwavering commitment to serving others.
