Exploring Telfair's part of the Ocmulgee River. We plan group paddle excursions and beautification projects in our little corner of Georgia.
The Ocmulgee River makes up the entire southern boundary of Telfair County which is an approximate 60 mile stretch of the River. Along this boundary, the river flows generally in a West to East direction. This gentle arc forms what is known as the "Big Bend" of the Ocmulgee River hence the name of this paddlers' group "Big Bend Paddlers".
The Big Bend Paddlers Group is organized under the guidance of the Telfair County Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber has appointed a committee to oversee this group and to plan paddles and other related paddle events.
